We met in 8th grade. We were as different as two awkward adolescents could be. Different styles, music, clothes, etc.... I know what you're thinking. It was love at first sight! Well, sorry to disappoint. It was actually more "mutual tolerance" at first sight. We probably didn't say 10 words to each other the entire semester. When we weren't awkwardly shuffling around, we were sitting two feet away from each other in complete silence. Ah, young love. So, what happened? Did we finally speak to each other? Did we realize that they had more in common than we thought, and that we could actually be friends? Yeah right. We completed the semester, went our separate ways and didn't speak for the next few years. One day in high school, boredom struck. On a whim, Kristin sent a text. "Hey". One word, and an unlikely friendship was born. After a few months, that friendship became a crush. On Kristin's 16th birthday, it become official. Kristin and Jared, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. THEN happily ever after, right? Well... not yet. We split up after just a few months and went our separate ways. We stayed friends though, keeping in touch periodically after graduation. In 2013, we reconnected again and it was like no time had passed at all. Five years later, and here we are. Engaged and living together, with our two little fur babies (Kitty & Binx). We can't wait to celebrate our special day with you all! :)
