Nashville's honky tonks play live music from 10am to 3am, and you can listen for free. Broadway is party central at night and not too crowded during the day.
The Listening Room features up-and-coming and well known songwriters performing songs you’ve probably heard on the radio. In between songs, they share stories about their writing and inspiration. It’s a very unique Nashville experience!
You don’t have to go far to hear great live music in Nashville, and visiting the Ryman is a great place to start. The historic music venue offers a variety of tours and concerts.
Centennial is a beautiful city park that is not far from Downtown Nashville. It's a great place to take a stroll, people watch, or have a picnic. You can also check out the Parthenon, Nashville's full-scale replica of the Athenian original (Athens is Nashville's sister city). You can tour the inside of the Parthenon for a small fee.
Nashville’s pro team offers a fun night out. Catch a game at our new stadium, Geodis Park. Nashville Soccer Club is an American professional soccer club based in Nashville, Tennessee. The team began playing in Major League Soccer in 2020.
The Nashville Zoo is a fun trip for the family and animal lovers alike. Some crowd favorites are the red pandas, clouded leopard, and the kangaroos.
Love flowers and history? Check out Cheekwood, a 1930s estate, with a historic mansion and 55 acres of cultivated gardens. Walk around the gardens, and see if you can find the turtles in the pond. You can also tour the mansion and learn more about the family who once called Cheekwood home. Tickets are timed entry, so we recommend purchasing them online. Also of note, Brad proposed to Hannah at Cheekwood :).
One of our favorite spots to get outside, the Warner Parks is a beautiful park system 9 miles from downtown that's great for walking, hiking, and picnics.
A beautiful rural preserve with easy walking trails and views of the river and local wildlife. Brad and I enjoy meandering down the trails and enjoying the view of the river.
Long Hollow Gardens is a beautiful winery outside of Nashville and a good option if you want to go further afield. They have cute sheep living on the property and lawn games. Food is not available for purchase, so make sure to bring your favorite snacks.
