Flight
Willard/O'Hare/Midway
We have an airport close to campus called Willard (CMI) that would be the fastest way to get to the area. However, it is a TINY airport that charges WAY too much money. Depending on your location, Bloomington, IL has a second small airport in the region which may have a convenient flight. For a more affordable option, we suggest that you fly into Chicago (either O'Hare or Midway).
Train
Travel from airport to Champaign-Urbana Area
Transport from the airport to Champaign/Urbana area: The Peoria charter runs multiple trips from O'Hare and will drop you off in the Champaign-Urbana area if you are staying there for about 35 dollars. It also runs 3 trips a day from Midway too. If you do not want to take Peoria charter, greyhound also runs but I have not taken it. An additional option is Amtrak (you would need to either take the subway from the airport to the amtrak or take an uber)

Bus between Champaign-Urbana and Monticello!

We are renting a party bus to help people travel between Champaign and Monticello in style. There is extremely limited parking at the property in Monticello, so we are asking everyone to use the bus for transportation. Please schedule a time slot using this link: https://bookwhen.com/drlucasdsmith Buses will depart at 3 pm and 4 pm from the parking lot on the corner of Washington and Walnut St in downtown Champaign (300-398 N Fremont St, Champaign, IL 61820). In the event that you miss your bus time or don't schedule a time slot, feel free to arrive at the departure location for a standby seat. In the unlikely event that you aren't able to get one on either of the first two buses, a final bus will make the trip at 5 pm to accommodate late arrivals.

Hotels and places to stay
There are several hotel options near the Marketview drive in northern Champaign (Candlewood Suites, Residence Inn by Marriott, Country Inn and Suites by Radison, Fairfield Inn and Suites, and Courtyard by Mariott). There is also a Hyatt in downtown Champaign. All of the Urbana-Champaign area is accessible with a quick Uber, so feel free to explore other options as well.
