Alexandra & Ben's love story began in the heat of the pandemic, when Alexandra and Ben fortuitously swiped right on each other on the famed dating application "Hinge". Ben had recently moved home to Los Angeles and was living with his brother, Alex, in Brentwood, after several years in New York. Alexandra was living just a stone's throw away down the street in Brentwood with her sister, Georgina. After several weeks of texting (and with some urging from the Stage matriarch, Gigi), they agreed to venture out into the Covid-world on a date. Ben chose the trendy (or so he believed) Mexican restaurant in Venice "Nueva" for dinner on May 6, 2021. They hit it off immediately, trading stories and laughs over the classic combo of tacos & margaritas. They then matriculated on to the Main Street staple, Jameson's, where they ordered a round of beers -- of course it was Thirsty Thursday 2 for 1 night, so the server brought four beers, of which Ben ended up drinking 3.5 of them as a gentlemanly gesture to ensure Alexandra did not get drunk. They then shared an uber ride back to their neighboring Brentwood apartments, where they shared a spark-inducing first kiss (followed by each of them walking the respective 1/2 block back to their apartments). Fast-forward to November 20, 2022, Alexandra & Ben were now living together on that same street in Brentwood. On this particular night, Alexandra believed they were celebrating their 1 1/2 year anniversary of their first date with some cocktails on the Santa Monica Pier. After a round of drinks, Ben was intent on catching a prime view of the incredible Fall sunset at the edge of the pier. Despite Alexandra's objections due to the mild chill in the air, Ben dragged her to the end of the pier. After taking in the beautiful sunset, Alexandra demanded they leave because it was getting cold. Ben, finally making eye contact with his future brother-in-law Spencer as Spencer took his post at the edge of the pier for secret engagement photos, fell to a knee and asked for Alexandra's hand in marriage. She said yes! To cap off the evening, Ben lured Alexandra to the Water Grill for a celebratory dinner, where their families were waiting to surprise Alexandra + celebrate!
