In January of 2019, Erik was asked to move over to a new hotel at O'Reilly Hospitality Management, the Fairfield, to be the chief engineer. In March of 2019, Emily received a promotion to go work in sales at the Fairfield as a sales coordinator. Erik will say the first time they met that Emily continued to laugh at everything he said, an obvious exaggeration ;), but she just thought he was the most handsome guy she had ever laid eyes on. She also just had the strangest feeling that she wanted to know more about this guy. They remained friends and hung out with each other until around the end of April 2019, Emily decided to find the confidence to ask him if he wanted to hang out after work and he said yes! The first date was at Tie and Timber where Emily absolutely schooled Erik in a game of cornhole and the rest is history!
