Pietro and Frankey, the best man, used to go cruising at night and would drive by Stacy's work. Frankey always tried to introduce the two in person, but Stacy always said she was too busy working to come out. Stacy and Pietro were then added to a group chat with Frankey. One day Pietro sent a picture of his boba drink….except there was no boba. A couple of days later, Stacy sent a picture of her drink that included boba. The conversation turned into a debate on whether or not a drink had to include boba to be considered a boba drink. Naturally, Stacy won the debate and the conclusion was that Pietro did NOT have a boba drink. This debate was the couple's first interaction with each other in the group chat. A couple of days later, Pietro and Frankey stopped at Stacy's work to pick up water before they went cruising. This time though, Frankey tricked Pietro and Stacy in dealing with the water exchange which forced them to finally meet in person. A couple of weeks after the chat started, everyone was having a conversation about tacos and margaritas. They were mentioning their favorite Taco Tuesday spots and stated they should all go out to Tequila Jack's. That’s when Pietro made the bold move and texted Stacy on the side, asking her on a date to Tequila Jack's. Stacy took a chance and said YES. Even though this was the agreed upon restaurant, their first date ended up being at the Yard House.

Stacy and Pietro took a trip to Europe in April and May 2024. Their trip started in France with Stacy’s parents and godparents. Then they went their separate ways and ended the trip in Spain. From Paris to Lyon, Pietro carried the ring with him everyday waiting for the right moment to propose. First, he was going to pop the question at the Eiffel Tower, but it was too touristy and too cliche. He was then going to propose in Lyon with Stacy’s family with them, but it didn’t feel romantic and it wasn’t the right time (Stacy’s dad agreed with him). From Lyon, Stacy and Pietro travelled to Barcelona, Spain. Their first full day, day 7 of their trip, was a tour at Montserrat. On their break from the tour, they enjoyed walking around and found an area that overlooked the city. Pietro found it to be the PERFECT spot as it was romantic, quiet and spiritual. He asked someone to take their picture with the scenery behind them and then again with them facing the scenery. Stacy didn’t think anything of it and just thought he was finally learning how she liked to take her pictures. After a while, he finally told her she could turn around and she was surprised and excited to see him on one knee with a ring. Of course it was the easiest YES Stacy has ever said.
