Question

Is there anything I need to do before arriving to the DR?

Answer

Prior to entry to the Dominican you must fill out the free e-ticket. It is on their government website or you can access it from the url listed: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/Auth/TravelRegister/ If your city doesn’t register when filling out the application choose the next nearest and largest city in your area.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

The greatest gift we could ask for is having our closest friends and family together for this special day.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by November 1, 2024.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the resort to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place at the Jellyfish restaurant. The venue is located directly next to the Lopesan resort and can be easily accessed through the adjoining beach.

Question

What dates will the bride and groom be staying at the Lopesan?

Answer

Arriving Tuesday, February 25th and departing Tuesday, March 4th.

Question

Do you have a travel agent for us to book through?

Answer

After being in contact with a few different agencies, we decided against using a travel agent. After comparing prices and room rates given to us by the TA and looking at sites like Expedia and booking directly on the Lopesan website, going through the TA would've been $300-$400 more per person with the rates we were given. Please use whatever method you find most convenient and what works best for you to book your stay.

Question

How do you get to and from the airport to the resort?

Answer

Pre-arranging shared/private shuttle transportation is recommended and can be done on booking sites such as Expedia or directly through private transportation company websites such as https://puntacanatransfersairport.com. Matt and I used the company of the URL posted above. This company offers private transfers from the airport and they track your flight and adjust accordingly if there are any delays. For the return transfer they recommend getting to the airport 2-2.5hours before departure.

Question

What is the difference in the room categories?

Answer

There are 3 room category options: basic, adults only, and unique. A basic room package is still an all-inclusive option with a few restrictions that are secluded to those with upgrade to adults only and unique. With this room category you are still able to book rooms that are ocean view and swim ups. Adults only upgrade will give you access to everything that the basic package includes with the addition of an adults only pool that has a separate bar. Unique is the highest upgrade class and is considered VIP. Unique booking comes with a personal butler that is assigned to you for your entire stay. The butler can make dinner reservations for you and unique guests get priority at restaurants. Unique has its own beach section with premium drink service as well as its own beach bar/restaurant that offers unique breakfast and lunch that only unique guests can attend. Unique rooms are closer to the beach, and unique guests have access to a smaller unique only pool as well as the adults only pool.
