Back before Facebook and Instagram, we met on MySpace because we had quite a few mutual friends in common. Although it didn't seem like it was the right time back then, we stayed in touch over the years through email, Facebook, Instagram, texts, and visits at Backstreet Brewery. In 2017, we both found ourselves single again and started meeting once a week at Lazy Dog to talk through our weeks, our kids, and just to be there for each other, and to share yummy IPA's. After MONTHS of patience (on Jimmy's part) we finally kissed and the spark was still there...and this time, it was the right time! We have been inseparable ever since.
Our flight to CO was canceled due to blizzards. I was sad that I wouldn't get to see my kid sister and family. My amazing boyfriend decided he wanted to drive instead. *Side note- I thought he was crazy and tried to talk him into taking me to Wrightwood instead, HAHA* Anyways, he talked me into the long drive. And in his words, "we didn't make the 15 hour drive for nothing". From boyfriend to fiance in the most beautiful meadow...and in the snow! He is not a fan of the cold, but he knows how much I love the snow, the mountains, and my sister...so his plan could not have been more romantic, more perfect. On that day, he slid my great-grandmothers diamond onto my finger and I truly felt my heart explode with love for him all over again.
