Asbury Park, New Jersey

Early On

Stacy and Eamonn both grew up in Wall, NJ. They attended the same elementary, middle and high school but Eamonn was two grades ahead of Stacy. They also grew up going to 7th Ave beach in Belmar every summer. It is safe to say that they crossed paths over the years many times! Stacy was a freshman in high school while Eamonn was a junior. That is when Stacy's crush began. Eamonn was always known as "Stacy's crush" to her close friends (ask Kerri, Lauren or Allie)! Eamonn had no idea. Little did Stacy know, Eamonn developed a crush on her early on as well. He remembers seeing her at the O'Keefe's house and thinking she was cute, but never thought he had a chance.

How They Met

November 2015

Fast forward 10+ years. Stacy and Eamonn ran into each other in November of 2015 at Johnny Macs in Asbury Park, NJ. Stacy and her two friends (Kerri and Allie) saw Eamonn, his brother (Terrence) and friend (Dan) outside the bar while they were about to leave. They all decided to go back into the bar to hang out and catch up. Stacy and Eamonn could not stop talking and learning about one another. It turned out they had more in common than they could have imagined! Stacy knew that this guy had to be the one! The night ended and sadly no phone numbers were exchanged. Eamonn went back to Boston the next day, where he was living and teaching Kindergarten. December of 2015 rolled around and Eamonn was home for his winter break. Stacy told her friend, Kathy, that she hoped she would run into Eamonn again. Kathy was good friends with Terrence, Eamonn's brother, so they both made sure it would happen. The two met up at Bar A with friends and that is when they both realized the feelings were mutual. Phone numbers were finally exchanged and Stacy and Eamonn started talking every day. Eamonn eventually came back to NJ for a school break in February of 2016 and they went on their first official date to America's Cup in Asbury Park. They spent the whole day together, talking over coffee, walking around Asbury and getting food. These two love birds then went on multiple dates throughout the week Eamonn was home. They decided they wanted to keep things going so Stacy drove to Boston for Eamonn's birthday in March of 2016. The rest is history! Eamonn eventually moved back to New Jersey in July of 2017 after the two were long distance for about a year and a half, visiting each other almost every other weekend. Stacy and Eamonn then moved in together in Bradley Beach in December of 2018.

The Proposal

May 25, 2019

On May 25, 2019, Eamonn told Stacy they were going to get breakfast at the Avon Pavilion with his family. They were riding bikes, when Eamonn received a "phone call" from his mom asking them to stop off at Sylvan Lake in Bradley Beach for a group photo before breakfast. Stacy thought this was kind of odd but she went along with it. They leaned their bikes against a tree while sitting on a bench along the lake waiting for Eamonn's family to arrive. While sitting next to one another, Stacy received a text message from Eamonn (weird). The text message was a photo of Stacy sleeping in bed (even weirder) with Eamonn leaning over her holding an engagement ring in an open box! Stacy immediately thought Eamonn had sent her the photo by accident. As she had her head down, stuttering and trying to think of the words to say, Eamonn started telling her that there was no family breakfast and no group photo at the lake. He then got down on one knee and asked Stacy to marry him! After repeating "what!" over and over again in total disbelief, Stacy said YES! The two went on to have lunch at the Avon Pavilion and then met up with family and friends at 9th Ave Pier in Belmar to celebrate. The happy couple is ready to share the rest of their lives together and they are so excited to start their next chapter on July 30, 2021 with all of you by their sides! Now lets get these two MARRIED!
