This isn’t a story of firsts by any stretch of the imagination. It isn’t about two fresh hearts finding each other against impossible odds. Yet it is a story of how love blossomed out of two lives already lived. A serendipitous tale of life’s twists and turns that casually brought the two of us together. It’s a strange thing to post a profile on a dating website; a totally alien process as a matter of fact. Self-consciously filling out a questionnaire with answers that sound witty and appealing while staying honest and true. Posting photos that showcase your best qualities, intending to intrigue potential suitors. However, the most stressful moment is in hitting the publish button and sending your hopes and dreams adrift for other souls to accept or reject with a single swipe. …and yet from within the unending list of faces full of longing, through sheer happenstance, we found each other. It feels like our story is just beginning...we had our first date beneath the giant nose of Gio Rana, and are so looking forward to celebrating that anniversary with all of you. June the 18th was the first time our paths crossed and three years later we will commit our lives to each other. To all of you, everyone who can be there to celebrate with us and those who are wishing us well from afar, we love you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
