Unplugged Ceremony

As a courtesy to your hosts, we are requesting an unplugged ceremony. Please silence and store all cellular and otherwise electronic devices until after the ceremony. What should I wear?

Answer

There will be games and LOTS of dancing. Wear something that makes you feels gorgeous, confident, and comfortable. We want you to be able to stuff your face with yummy food and dance your feet off 🥳 Need more of a guide? The loose theme is “Enchanted Forest” (aka Lord of the Rings) so the fashion is late summer chic - or anything you might wear to a Renaissance festival. Cape? Awesome! Corset? Yes! Duplet? Go for it! Let out your inner nerd and party goblin! 💜

What about Covid? Do I need to be vaccinated? Or wear a mask?

Protecting our loved ones is important to the bride and groom. We understand that not everyone is able to get a vaccine. In this era of ongoing pandemic, we respectfully request that any attending guests who are not vaccinated wear a mask for the duration of the festivities. We thank you for your humble cooperation since a number of our guests, including the bride, are immune compromised. To those guests who are vaccinated, we thank you for your contribution toward protecting our community.

What will parking be like?

Answer

Since the venue is rural, there will be a golf cart service from the parking area by the reception building to the ceremony by the lake and back for those of us with mobility challenges.

I didn’t RSVP by the deadline, can I still come?

Answer

Absolutely! But you better bring a folding chair and a sandwich. 🤣 If the deadline is past, we already sent numbers to our caterer and venue.

My wedding invitation did not include a space to add my plus one, how do I let you know I’m bringing a date?

Answer

Given the state of the world post-Covid, we thank you for understanding our need to limit and carefully curate our guest list. If anyone, including your significant other, was not listed on the invitation, then we do not have a space reserved for them at the wedding. We are excited to see you at the wedding!

Answer

While we love your children, if anyone, including your children, was not listed on the invitation, then we do not have a space reserved for them at the wedding. We would love to have you there to celebrate. Given the state of the world post-Covid, we thank you for understanding our need to limit and carefully curate our guest list.
