Busy Weekend in Austin!

ALERT - We are fortunate enough to share our lovely wedding weekend with the Formula 1 Austin Grand Prix 2023 event hosted in Southeast Austin. This means that travel on this weekend will be BUSY. You can expect heavy congestion at the airport, with rental cars, and with flights. Lodging - we recommend, if you haven't already, booking your lodging ASAP as these prices will likely just continue to rise. There are 3 hotel blocks available (see below), but we also ask that you book these now if you plan to use them. Airbnbs are a great option for large parties too. Rental Cars & Transportation - If possible, we do recommend renting a car as Texas is very spread out, without solid public transportation and Georgetown is located 33 miles from the AUS airport. We also recommend to book these ASAP. Note that transportation will be provided to & from the venue on the night of the wedding from the Sheraton hotel. Flights - keep your eye on flight prices and do not wait until the last few months to book. If you can fly in on Wednesday or Friday and back on Sunday or Tuesday, then you will enjoy a much more economical fare.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)

Austin's airport is on the Southeast side of the city. If you're lucky, you'll catch a live band or two playing for you as you walk from your gate to baggage claim! The Georgetown hotels are a 35 minute drive from the airport. Ubers will cost ~$50 if not on surge pricing (with the high amount of traffic from F1, surge is likely). We recommend rental cars, ubers, or another form of transportation.

Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center

This hotel is the main host hotel and where the wedding shuttle will depart from and return to on our Big Day. Our block rate is $199/night. Note that all room blocks will close one month prior to the wedding.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Georgetown

This hotel is down the road from downtown Georgetown and the Sheraton and is part of the IHG family (if that is important to you). Our block rate starts at $149/night (the rate can be higher depending on the type of room). The "View" button below is a booking link for our hotel block at this hotel. If the link is not working, that means this block is full so please try one of the other hotel blocks.

Best Western Round Rock

This hotel is in Round Rock and is slightly farther from the other festivities. Our block rate is $109/night if you book now! To book, please call 512-255-3222 and use the secret passphrase "I'm calling to book in the Smith block".

Airbnb

A millennial classic - airbnb is a great option for large groups traveling to the wedding. There are many fun looking airbnbs in the area around Georgetown as well as throughout the rest of Austin. Rates vary depending on many factors, and we also recommend booking these earlier rather than later as the prices will go up.
