We could start this story out by saying we probably met 1000 times without knowing it, however when the stars line up they line up. Trevor and I attended very small high schools in Minnesota that played each other in sports, he played baseball with the guys I graduated with and I heard his name many times and even watch and attended almost every game our senior year but our paths never quite met. As I don’t believe the world was ready for that yet. Now to fast forward 12 years later Trevor and I met officially 2 years ago when he was called out to a job behind my house. This would be the day he says he will never forget as I was not the happiest to see him and his coworkers working in my yard. After a couple loud conversations we both went on with our lives. A month later we crossed paths again when we met up with mutual friends for some drinks and Trevor quickly reminded me that we had met before, I apologized for being rude and we went on with our lives once again. After many months and a couple run ins with mutual friends we quickly became familiar of each other and found each other on Facebook where we began joking with each other when we would run into each other while out with friends but neither of us ever started conversations face to face. After about a month of cheesy message we set up a causal met out one night that sealed our fate together, we laughed, joked and quickly realized we had so much in common it was creepy to say the least. After that night we were hooked as on our second date Trevor couldn’t help but ask “what I would be doing for the rest of his life” I smiled and knew with him is where I wanted to be. The rest is history, and every day we wake up living our happily ever after.
A month into our relationship we knew we had found just what we were both looking for our whole lives in one another. One night hanging out with friends outside Trevor got down on one knee, asked me to marry him. I of course said yes proudly, Trevor in a short time had become my best friend. Now I know everyone says that but he is my all time favorte person. With the kids it all seemed to click and I watched them fall more in love with him then I ever thought possible. Brooklynn has a fun and amazing relationship with him, Bentlee is his buddy Bristol calls him “her man”. He showed me he loved the family life and he adjusted very well from bachelor to family man very quickly, it was so comfortable and natural that it sealed the deal for both of us. After many texts with what’s your ring size “asking for a friend” he found the perfect ring. Once Trevor had that ring it was only days before it burned a whole in his pocket, 9/11/19 was that day. We woke up like we do every morning and started our day and went to work. He returned home to say he had to leave town for work and would be gone for a couple days. While helping him pack I turned around to see Trevor down on one knee shaking, sweeting holding a ring out for me, as he proceeded to say “will you marry me already”? I began to ask him what he was doing as I was a bit taking off guard and a tad but confused squished in-between the bottom of the bed and dresser, not knowing if he was just being Trevor and messing around as he dose often. He then reassured me he needed an answer. I said “of course I will marry you”. Trevor is the man of my dreams, I never thought life could be this good, or I could be this happy. We are the same person in two bodies. I adore sharing my days, laughs, up, downs and life with him, I’m excited to wake up to this amazing human everyday. This was one of the best morning of my whole life.
