Karen seemed quiet and awkward when she started her small animal internship at Mizzou. She was a bit older than the other interns and, if you know me, I'm drawn to those who are quiet, like me and closer to my age. We ended up talking at work all the time and eventually started having dinners quite often to vent and just ignore the rest of the world. I consider her to be a friend for life and family. She's going to make an amazing Veterinary Oncologist and I hope to work with her again someday soon!

Jeff is the best and sweetest friend on the planet who has been in my life for, I don't know how many years! I met Jeff in Dallas at a national drag pageant and we connected immediately. He has an amazing talent and a great heart! He also has been a rock for me because he 100% understands all I go through daily, especially in the first few years, with my head injury. He suffered one in a car accident soon after I did. His sense humor makes me laugh, no matter what I'm going through!
