If you are traveling in from out of town you can either rent a car, drive it to the city and take the ferry, or you can take highway 16 to highway 3 from the SEATAC airport up the peninsula. While we encourage a car as there is so much to see in the area, you can also get by without one by Ubering to the city, walking on the ferry, then Ubering or busing to Poulsbo. Just note, the towns are small on the islands, so Ubers won’t always be quick to pick up. If you are staying at the Clearwater Casnio and you sign up for their Players Club (free) ahead of time, they have scheduled shuttles available from the ferry to the casino. There will be shuttle services the night of the wedding.
You can either drive or walk on the ferry. The most convenient ferry to take to get to Poulsbo is Seattle to Bainbridge, boarding at Coleman Doc at pier 52. If you are driving on, plan to arrive early/ plan ahead and you can check the Washington State Ferries website for real time status. You pay at the ticket booth when departing from Seattle, but walk-on passengers typically ride for free when returning from an island. You can pay with a pre-loaded ORCA card or exact cash. For sure walk around the deck as it is a very scenic ride. We love to also get movie theatre popcorn and a beer from the snack bar. :)
Formal, black tie optional ~ the vibe of the wedding is garden party on the water :) We will have heel caps, but note the ceremony will be on grass.
