Stacie and Charlie’s story begins in high school, where they started off as acquaintances who shared mutual friends and a fandom of the network television drama Prison Break. As they grew, so did their friendship. They became partners in crime, frequenting the same concerts, parties, and sporting events, building a friendship that they both cherished. Somewhere along the line, they made a silly little pact, promising to marry each other if they were both still single when they turned 30. Little did they know, that pact would actually be their choice some years later. They ended up at the same college, Westfield State University, where their already close friendship only grew stronger. After graduation, Charlie moved to San Diego with friends and Stacie was the only person to visit multiple times. On one of her visits, she admitted her feelings for Charlie to a friend, but kept it a secret in fear of complicating their friendship. When Charlie moved home, he and Stacie continued to spend a lot of time together and eventually Charlie started to develop feelings of his own. They talked about dating but were on the fence because Stacie wasn't allowed to date someone who wasn’t a Patriots fan. However, their love for each other was undeniable and Charlie finally asked her to go steady during a ski trip at Sunday River. Three and a half years later, Charlie got down on one knee and Stacie cried, but ultimately said yes. Now they are back where it all began to vow to each other forever.
