We’re married!

Its late 2018 and Staci and Orlando live about a mile apart, go to the same gym and same church and have crossed paths many many times through the years but have absolutely no idea each other exists. That all changed with they both swiped right (were matched) on Bumble (an online dating site). After chatting on the site for a couple of weeks about topics from their children, God to tacos and exercise (with many corny jokes in between) Orlando asked for Staci's number and was her first text of 2019. Our first date was January 18th 2019 at a little Mexican place in Aurora IL. We talked and laughed for hours and eventually had to be nudged out of the door after looking around and realizing the restaurant was completely empty and closed ...after that everything was pretty much history!

The kids planned to make dinner for Staci's Birthday two days early (or so she thought) at Orlando's house. When she arrived the family room was full of balloons because it was birthday themed she was not tipped off. She was asked to sit down on the couch and relax and presented with a series a menu cards for the evening's meal(so fancy she thought). After finishing a delicious meal, filled with many of her favorites foods, it was time for dessert. The kids were extremely excited for dessert, Staci was overjoyed when presented with a gorgeous 4 layer cake made by Orlando II and decorated by Makayla and even more overjoyed when she tasted the flavor "wedding cake" which is one of her favorite flavors from a local bakery (she told the kids this was her fav flavor on a bike ride to that bakery a few weeks earlier). At this point Staci (a true foodie) is on cloud 9, just full and happy and surrounded by her favs. Orlando then asked DJ to go get the gift from "the kids" so he excitedly ran and retrieved it. He handed Staci a white and gold box about the size of a shoe box. Staci opened the box and was met with another box and another box and another box until she got to a small blue velvet box. Orlando then said excuse me DJ its my turn! He got down on one knee and said I love you with all of my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you MARRY ME? STACI SAID YEEEESSSS! and then the kids cheered!
