We have a mutual friend, her name is Cherita! She said, " Stacia I know this guy from school days, and every time I think of you I see him." To which Stacia responded, "Cherita it's ok. I am fine. I'm actually good". "No!", Cherita responded, convinced the story should not finish there. She contacted Kotane, and boldly asked if he was seeing anyone as she wasted little time on getting to that point. Kotane, the gentleman, said "No, I am not." And so, Cherita set up a phone call for conversation and it all started from there. Coffee dates, ice-cream chats and walks with family, soon became the beautiful setting for our loving relationship to take root. At a time that was hard for the world, we found each other, with the loving kindness of God. Even though Stacia was in the midst of walking through one of the most difficult periods of her life, losing her Dad, we walked that journey daily, Kotane showing compassion, love, kindness, not to mention patience, when many others would have walked another direction. Stacia brings, the laughter, passion and faith, while Kotane brings the commitment, strength and stability. We play off of one another well and are a good example of iron sharpening iron as the bible says. Sometimes in life we need someone to orchestrate a good thing. Unknowingly, we have lived 5 minutes away from each other for 25 years, and we went to UWI at the same time. We also have older brothers who attended the same school in the same year. Love can come from the most unexpected of places if you take the time to look.
