My friend and concert buddy, Jenna, had introduced me to a local band called Yam Haus. They were playing a concert in at a National Night Out event, and she couldn't make it so I went solo. Being my extroverted self, I introduced myself to many people and helped get folks dancing. While the band was taking a break, I introduced myself to Patrick, Yam Haus' tour manager at the time, and we hit it off immediately, chatting about where we're from and about tasty food. He found me on Instagram after, and we've talked every day since!

Patrick and I both took a day off work in the midst of a busy season. We had a low key day around the house, and I had just taken a relaxing bath. He told me there was a note for me in our kitchen, and then he turned on a song we often slow dance to. He pulled me into a dance, and I could feel his heart practically beating out of his chest! Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes!
