FAQs

Question

Will altitude affect me when traveling to/in Estes Park?

Answer

Potentially. It depends on the individual and how you react to elevation. To play it safe, drink tons of water and consider purchasing altitude sickness pills on Amazon.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Elegant and comfortable with a warm layer for the evening. Leave your jeans at home, please.

Question

What does the wedding day timeline look like?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4 p.m. and happy hour will follow. A buffet-style dinner will be served around 6 p.m.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place in the lovely outdoors with the mountains as our backdrop. The reception will take place indoors with an outdoor concept.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Fall officially begins September 22, so it’s safe to say you’ll need a warm layer for the evening. We’ve heard late September radiates the “perfect weather,” but we obviously don’t have control over it. According to Google, highs will be in the upper 60s and lows will be in the 40s.

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

Estes Park is about an hour-and-a-half from Denver International Airport. Unfortunately, there is no direct connection from Denver Airport to Estes Park, so renting a car is your best option. We highly recommend renting a car through Turo with a “free delivery” status. Turo is proving to be astronomically more affordable than typical car rental companies. A secondary option is to take a bus to Ft. Collins/Loveland Airport then take an Uber to Estes Park. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Downtown Boulder Station then take an Uber to Estes Park.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, but it’s limited and reserved for guests staying on property. There is additional parking just across the street that has been paid for the day of the wedding.

Question

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

Answer

Join us for a casual Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to noon to pack on the carbs and say our “see you laters.” The brunch is just across the bridge from the venue at 1655 Lower Broadview Rd.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Why yes, yes there will. Drink responsibly*

Question

If I have dietary restrictions/allergies, what's the best way to let you know?

Answer

Shoot me an email at staceyricker@yahoo.com by August 15.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We're planning to have an "unplugged" or cellphone free wedding. Thank you.

Question

Answer
