Stacey and Gus met at the Tropicana Boardwalk Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Stacey was on an overnight girls' trip, and Gus was with a friend on the way to visit his sister in Washington, DC. As fate would have it, both groups ended up at the karaoke bar, and Gus and his friend had the song books. After shared drinks, they "sang" some Miley Cyrus, Soggy Bottom Boys, and Weezer, and Gus and Stacey continued chatting throughout the evening. They exchanged contact information, and a month later Stacey flew out to visit Gus in Minnesota. The rest is history!

Gus and Stacey celebrated their nine-year anniversary at a local restaurant and then came home. They exchanged anniversary cards, and when Stacey opened Gus's, she noticed that he underlined a part about "looking forward to new adventures." They hugged, and right after Gus got down on one knee and proposed (while Louie was squeaking a corn cob in the background - he wanted to be included). :)
