How it all started...

Those non-existent blue shorts...

Just a small town girl living in a lonely world... this is not completely accurate but we like the song. Our story started in 2009, in a small town somewhere between Houston and San Antonio on Interstate 10. This small town is small... however, not small enough. Chris and Stacey paths didn’t truly connect until high school tennis. As expected - Stacey sucked at tennis. Chris was an all-star. It was during this time that Chris noticed Stacey in some blue shorts. If you ask Stacey about these specific color of shorts, she will insist she never owned a pair of blue shorts in high school. Why? Because Stacey remembers everything. It would be years later that Chris and Stacey realized that Chris is in fact colorblind - you know the whole blue/purple mix up kind of colorblind.

About damn time...

The BEST birthday ever!

Going to the Kemah Boardwalk for Stacey’s birthday was a last minute plan she thought Chris threw together when she was taking a nap... While they were enjoying their dinner at Landry’s on the Boardwalk, Stacey noticed the firework display on the water in the distance. “Damn it, that was supposed to be a surprise,” Chris said. The fireworks were definitely a surprise for Stacey... a very beautiful surprise! Chris quickly gave the cash payment to the waiter and told her they would be back for Stacey's crème brûlée dessert. They watched the fireworks from a distance with a group of onlookers. Stacey figured if he was going to propose then it would be this moment... His plan was to propose "with a bang" but because of the distance, he decided not to. Stacey figured tonight was not the night... They went back inside for dessert and spent the rest of the evening walking around, watching street performers, shopping and drinking daiquiris... a lot of sweet and fun moments! It was 11:00 p.m. when Stacey and Chris were ready to call it a night. The boardwalk had died down and Stacey needed to stop by a restroom, so they walked around slowly looking for a place. Suddenly, Chris sat down his daiquiri on a passing table and swirled Stacey around. Chris said, “Stacey, I didn’t mean to do it like this”, grabbed both her hands and started going down on one knee. Stacey was in shock and thought he was joking, so she stuck her thumb nail into his bicep and said, “CHRISTOPHER?!?!?!?!?!?” her usual response for when he is in trouble! Chris said something about loving her and then he asked... TWICE! The location was a beautiful spot on the Boardwalk, right next to the water with only a few people in the distance. Just the two of them! Then Stacey found a restroom and peed. The end.
