Charles chose Little Café, the spot of our very first date, as the place to ask the biggest question. But this time he walked in with the sweetest surprise in his arms — a tiny, wrinkly, 2½-month-old English bulldog puppy.
Her name was Brigitte, and tied around her little collar was a scroll. When Stacey unrolled it, the message inside read “Will you marry me?”
The café that once marked our beginning became the place where we started our forever, with Brigitte snuggled between us and love all around.
