On September 2nd, 1951, my grandparents committed their lives to each other. They got married in a small church in Kershaw, SC. Afterward, they had a simple picnic lunch under an old Oak tree. If they were still with us, September 2nd, 2021 would be their 70th Platinum anniversary, Platinum symbolizes the strength, rarity, endurance, and purity of true love. Platinum also represents integrity and truth. We believe that these qualities embody the relationship Granny and Pop had. Their marriage was a rare and beautiful one. Their relationship is the platinum standard for what marriage ought to be. Though they may not be physically present for our wedding, we hope that keeping their anniversary date significant will let us keep them close to our hearts and forever a part of our lives. They were so special and we're grateful for their kindness, their generosity, their wisdom, and their support. Their pure unconditional love deeply impacted and inspired our relationship with each other. Please join us to celebrate, not just our marriage, but also the lives and love of Boyd Gaskin and Margaret Anthony.
