FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to be seated at the Church by 12:50pm. The ceremony is expected to start at 1pm.

Question

How do I get from the church to the reception venue?

Answer

The reception venue is around a 15-minute drive from the church. For guests not driving, we suggest booking a taxi ahead of time.

Question

Where should I park my car?

Answer

When you arrive at the church, please park within the church grounds. Please avoid parking on the cobbled street in front of the church, as this may result in a parking fine. Access to the church car park is via the front of the church on Newbiggin Road. If you're using Google Maps, it should direct you there without any issues. The reception venue has plenty of on-site parking available.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits and ties. Ladies may wear formal dresses and are kindly asked to avoid wearing white or cream.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for everyone to be fully present during the ceremony, so we kindly request no photos until the reception. A professional photographer will be there to capture everything for us.

Question

Where should I stay overnight?

Answer

There are plenty of overnight accommodation options in Richmond, Middleton Tyas, Darlington, and other surrounding areas. We recommend reserving accommodation soon, as the summer period can be quite busy in the area. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions!

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

No, your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could ask for, especially as we know some of you are travelling a long way to celebrate with us. If you are stubborn and insist on giving something, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be very much appreciated, but please know it is absolutely not expected at all.
