Question

I am not a member of the military, how will I get on base?

Answer

If you do not have a DOD ID card, you must proceed to the Visitor’s Center on Aberdeen Proving Ground to obtain a vehicle pass prior to 6:00 P.M. Monday – Friday. Be sure to take in your driver’s license and vehicle registration. All persons in your vehicle must go into the visitor’s center with their ID as well as the driver of the vehicle. Once you have your visitor’s pass, proceed to the gate. Weekends and any time after 6:00 P.M. proceed directly to Lane 5 at the 715 Maryland gate. Military police will be given notice beforehand that there will be a wedding occurring this weekend.

We love children but would really like our wedding to be your night off so please plan accordingly and in advance, pretty please.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal, please. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible so for the ladies we understand if your heels are too high or get uncomfy and you need to bring another pair of dancing shoes with you and gentlemen, unbuttoning that top button is quite alright with us.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking for everyone.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
