The oldies are finally getting married!

We don't really have a crazy story. Ours is simple--and it's lovely. AJ met Stacey when she interviewed for an athletic training position at Texas A&M University with the women's basketball team. She accepted the position, and the rest is.......not done yet. AJ was actually in a relationship when Stacey moved to College Station. Though she was disappointed, it gave them the chance to hang out and grow as friends first. FORTUNATELY for Stacey, the relationship didn't work out. Enter an athletics association holiday party featuring bottomless beer and wine, and the truth of their feelings came out. They have been together ever since. AJ decided to propose (finally) after three years of dating. Though the turn around from fiancés to husband and wife is short, they have been ready to say "I do" for a while now (and let's face it, they're not getting any younger). We have decided to do a very small elopement ceremony on May 29, 2026. Though it was a difficult decision not to invite all of our friends and family, whom we'd love nothing more than to share our special day with, we ultimately thought that would be best for where we are financially and with our wild work schedules. We sincerely hope we are not offending anyone, and are hoping that some day, there will be a future vow renewal/celebration where we can all be together and share our love. Thank you!
