Dave and Stacey's first date was on February 22, 2020. They met at Bar Louie at Partridge Creek Mall for drinks and appetizers. Stacey wasn't sure if he was there because he was interested or if he just wanted a friend. His opening line when he walked in was "Hey Friend", so she wasn't sure. But, by the end of the date, and a couple hours of talking, she knew he'd call for a second. Their second date was at Da Francesco's Italian Restaurant in Shelby Township, which was about a 2 weeks later and another week or so before Covid hit the world and everything shut down. When Stacey got the call for this second date, she was actually on another date, which she found horribly boring. When she excused herself to "freshen up" she checked her phone and there was a text from Dave. She smiled and kind of jumped up and down because she had been waiting for this and could not bear another boring or bad date. Their third date, about a week before quarantine, was at Stacey's condo for dinner. They made tacos together and talked the night away. After this 3rd and last in - person date, the world shut down due to the pandemic. Now, they scheduled dates on Facetime and had to rely on phone calls and texts only. They took the FaceTime dates as seriously as they would an in - person date. They planned the time, and got dressed and ready as if they were going on a real date outside of the house. After about a month or so of quarantine, they decided to open their circle to allow each other into each other's space. This led to dates at home. They played games, cooked new dishes, sang karaoke and danced in the basement. They had the best time just hanging out at one of their homes. Five years later, Stacey and Dave go to New Orleans for their 5th Anniversary weekend in February of 2025. During this trip, little did Stace know that the ring was packed and Dave was going to propose on their 5 year anniversary in New Orleans before their Anniversary Steak Dinner. She was shocked. Usually, Stace knows everything and its very hard to keep a secret from her, but Dave had several tricks up his sleeve to hide the ring to the last moment. They could not have found a better pairing in each other. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
