Things To Do

We're so excited for you to visit Chicago! Here are just a few places that make it our favorite city.
Pequod's Pizza

Pequod's Pizza

2207 North Clybourn Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614
, (773) 327-1512

People have strong opinions on the best pizza in Chicago, but this one wins for us. Be prepared to wait for over an hour, but hop over to the bar next door for some drinks while you wait. It's all worth it for that caramelized crust.

Pizzeria Bebu

Pizzeria Bebu

1521 North Fremont Street, Chicago, IL 60642
, (312) 280-6000

Can you tell we love pizza? This is not your usual Chicago deep dish joint, but it's our favorite place to go for specialty thin crust and some vino. We recommend the Ode to Rubirosa and Bebu Meatball pizzas.

Athenian Room

Athenian Room

807 West Webster Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614
, (773) 348-5155

A classic Chicago greek restaurant attached to Glascott's bar in Lincoln Park. Tina Fey raves about the Chicken Kalamata and so do we. There is no shortage of greasy food, so this might be a good Sunday post-wedding option.

Duck Duck Goat

Duck Duck Goat

857 West Fulton Market, Chicago, IL 60607
, (312) 902-3825

Stephanie Izard of Top Chef and Girl & the Goat fame opened this Chinese restaurant in the Fulton Market neighborhood and it quickly became one of our favorites. Easier to get into than Girl & the Goat, but still make your reservations early!

Murphy's Bleachers

Murphy's Bleachers

3655 North Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL 60613
, (773) 281-5356

Iconic Wrigleyville bar where we've spent countless hours watching the Cubbies and drinking Miller Light. We celebrated right outside when the Cubs won the World Series in 2016!

Will's Northwoods Inn

Will's Northwoods Inn

3030 North Racine Avenue, Chicago, IL 60657
, (773) 528-4400

Joe's favorite place to watch the Packers. Becca's favorite place to eat cheese curds.

Cindy's

Cindy's

12 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603
, (312) 792-3502

One of our favorite rooftop views in the city. Come for a fancy cocktail and enjoy the views of Millennium Park...the patio has heaters in the winter!

Corridor Brewery & Provisions

Corridor Brewery & Provisions

3446 North Southport Avenue, Chicago, IL 60657
, (773) 270-4272

The legendary brew pub where we went on our first date! This spot and the Southport Corridor neighborhood will always be special to us.

Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park

2001 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614
, (312) 742-2000

Whether you visit the Zoo, Nature Museum, or just want to take a walk along the lake, Lincoln Park is a great break from the usual rush of city life.

Music Box Theatre

Music Box Theatre

3733 North Southport Avenue, Chicago, IL 60613
, (773) 871-6604

A 90 year-old movie theater in the Southport Corridor that consistently plays both new-release critical favorites and classic films. Joe is a member of the theater and you can find him here almost weekly. If you do not have time for a movie, stop into the lounge for a quick drink amid classic movie posters and local film buffs.

Revolution Brewing - Brewery & Taproom

Revolution Brewing - Brewery & Taproom

3340 North Kedzie Avenue, Chicago, IL 60618
, (773) 588-2267

One of our favorite Chicago breweries. Either take a tour or sample all of the Revolution favorites. They don't serve food, but will let you bring in your own. Might we suggest ordering Pequod's to be delivered here?

iO Theater

iO Theater

1501 North Kingsbury Street, Chicago, IL 60642
, (312) 929-2401

Chicago is known for it's Second City comedy club, but many of the comedians get their start at the iO improv theater. It's a blast, but beware that they usually ask for audience participation!
