People have strong opinions on the best pizza in Chicago, but this one wins for us. Be prepared to wait for over an hour, but hop over to the bar next door for some drinks while you wait. It's all worth it for that caramelized crust.
A classic Chicago greek restaurant attached to Glascott's bar in Lincoln Park. Tina Fey raves about the Chicken Kalamata and so do we. There is no shortage of greasy food, so this might be a good Sunday post-wedding option.
Stephanie Izard of Top Chef and Girl & the Goat fame opened this Chinese restaurant in the Fulton Market neighborhood and it quickly became one of our favorites. Easier to get into than Girl & the Goat, but still make your reservations early!
Whether you visit the Zoo, Nature Museum, or just want to take a walk along the lake, Lincoln Park is a great break from the usual rush of city life.
A 90 year-old movie theater in the Southport Corridor that consistently plays both new-release critical favorites and classic films. Joe is a member of the theater and you can find him here almost weekly. If you do not have time for a movie, stop into the lounge for a quick drink amid classic movie posters and local film buffs.
One of our favorite Chicago breweries. Either take a tour or sample all of the Revolution favorites. They don't serve food, but will let you bring in your own. Might we suggest ordering Pequod's to be delivered here?
