It was the weekend before the world shut down. Abby was heading to her favorite arcade bar, Abari, with one of her college friends to play Killer Queen, a 10 player video game. When they arrived the cabinet was missing! "There's a Killer Queen tournament in the back" said the bouncer. When Abby approached the tournament she was suddenly 20 feet away from the cutest man she had ever seen. Steve was in the middle of a set playing the Chattanooga, TN team, with his smile lighting up the room. People were shouting player's names, cheering them on. When Abby noticed everyone was wearing a badge around their neck, she figured "I'll find out his name that way" After Steve's team won the set he was talking to friends and walked over to where Abby was standing by the door. She reached out and touched his arm and innocently asked a question she already knew the answer to. "Who won?!" Steve was still beaming when he replied "WE DID!" She took the opportunity to get his name from his badge when he turned towards her. That was all she needed and she wasn't about to leave her friends to talk to some random guy she'll never see again. She enjoyed the rest of her night with friends and talking about how they were going to keep themselves busy at home for 2 weeks. She looked him up the next day and discovered he was the easiest person in the world to find. She googled "Steve Parker" "Killer Queen" and his Facebook account popped up as the first hit. "Hey! Great job at the Killer Queen tournament!" became the first of thousands of messages... The rest is history, and they are so glad you will be there to celebrate their big day! *Their invisible string: Steve and Abby were both on the University of Maryland's College Park campus the summer of 2011. Abby was a finalist in National History Day hosted by the university and Steve was taking Summer classes on campus.
