Question

What time should I arrive for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is broken up into two parts. Part 1 will consist of South Indian traditions while Part 2 will follow traditional Vedic ceremony steps. Breakfast starts at 9:00 AM and will conclude by 10:00 AM. Attendance is optional. If you would like to join, please make sure to note as so in the RSVP. Part 1 will start at 9:30 AM and conclude by 10:45 AM. Attendance to this portion of the ceremony is optional. If you would like to join, please make sure to note as so in the RSVP. Part 2 will begin promptly at 11:00 AM, with the Bride and Groom entrances. We ask that everyone is present for this portion of the ceremony, please arrive by 10:50 AM at the latest.

Question

What time should I arrive for the reception?

Answer

We'll start at 6 pm with cocktail hour leading into the reception and dinner at 7 pm. You will have a ~4 hour break between the wedding ceremony and the reception to relax, change and explore Metro-Detroit.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

As the morning ceremony will contain religious rituals modest attire is suggested. As the evening reception will be a celebration of the newlyweds, with dancing and drinks flowing, we suggest cocktail attire. For both the morning and evening events suits, kurtas, saris, lenghas and dresses are appropriate.

Question

What if I do not have Indian attire?

Answer

Indian attire is not a requirement - formal attire will work just fine! If you still want to try some traditional Indian wear, we recommend: www.cbazaar.com or www.kalkifashion.com

Question

Can I bring a plus one/family member?

Answer

Your RSVP invite mentions the quantity of guests invited. Please reference the quantity listed. If none were listed other than yourself, we'd prefer if it was just you.

Question

Are kids allowed to come?

Answer

For the morning wedding ceremony, please feel free to bring your children. The more the merrier! For the evening reception, we respectfully request no children under the age of 5.

Question

Are there any food allergies/dietary restrictions we should be aware of?

Answer

Please let us know of any food allergies/dietary restrictions by April 15th, so we can prepare accordingly. Feel free to let us know through call or text at 248-875-5382.
