What to wear at the Wedding

Answer

This wedding celebrates two people and two cultures coming together. The USA is a melting pot, and we invite you to come dressed in your cultural or ethnic wear, whether a guayabera, a cowboy hat, a lehenga, or a cocktail dress. Cowboy attire with nice jeans and boots is welcome. If unsure, please dress semi-formally—no shorts, work jeans, or T-shirts. Dance sneakers, Chankala, mojadi, cowboy boots and hats, and 5-inch heels are all accepted.

It is a Mexican and Indian wedding. Bring children if you are a family member or close friend, and your entire family is invited. Please Don't forget to RSVP with their age.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

We are having two weddings and a reception. Indian wedding is going to be an intimate ceremony with just family and close friends. Christian wedding will be at 5:15 pm at the base. Please arrive at 5:00 pm. It Will be at the Venue, followed by the reception. The venue is Parr Club Randolph Base.

How do I get to the Venue ?

The Venue is on a military base. The closest Airport is San Antonio Airpot The venue is by Universal City, Randolf Air Force Base. The base requires a vetting process for entrance. Please go to the VEisitor Center near the main gate. Please check the next F.A.Q

How can I enter the military base without a military ID ?

Answer

If you do not have a military ID there are three options. 1. Send in your information, including your driver's license number, state of license, legal first and last name, middle initial as shown on your ID, and phone number, DOB, to get your pass ahead of time. 2. If the person doesn't wish to share their driver's license information, they must visit the visitor registration center during regular business hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This may NOT be done on the event day, but they will need to allow additional time for the vetting process. Please check and correct your name on the RSVP. Please include your first, last, and middle initials on your ID. Also, please call Randolf visitor center for additional details. 3. Have a military member sponsor and escort you in.

What time should I arrive ?

Please give us an hour to review the base entrance and vetting process. Once you're done, even earlier, you can go to the PARR club and chill in the AC if you already have access. Please arrive by 5:00 pm.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes, parking is available all AROUND the Parr Club on Military Plaza Drive. Please do NOT park on assigned parking that says commander etc..

Is the reception indoor or outdoor ?

Answer

It's indoors, but you can step into the back patio for some fresh air. The smoking area is in front of the entrance, with the ashtray next to it.

All events will occur at the Parr club on Saturday evening unless you are an immediate family member.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

We have a limited open bar between 5:30 and 7:30, and appetizers will be served during this time. A buffet-style dinner starts at 7:00 p.m. There will be vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Will there be an open bar?

We are excited to celebrate with you and host you for dinner. However, we have opted for a limited bar. There is also a cash bar option, so please bring cash or a credit card to enjoy the full bar service. Relaxation on us, ParTy on you!!!

Yes, we plan to have music and some family members doing a talent show. Please bring your dance shoes and enthusiasm for the performers!

We can't predict the weather, but San Antonio is generally very hot and humid and can rain.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

Absolutely !! Please be mindful of children and any intimate moments.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence will be enough. We have all the pots and pans we need. Two households are merging, and we have doubled almost everything. If you want to gift us something, we prefer cash, or anything you give with love will be seen as a blessing. For suggestions, please check the wedding registry.

Any Military Base Regulations

Answer

You are the guest of the military base, and you have access to the Venue Please do NOT walk on the grass. Please follow the speed limit and rules. Do not park anywhere. It says commander, etc. Only smoke in designated smoking areas, and do not litter. Any ticket on base is a federal ticket. On average, there is one military police officer for every four personnel.

We plan to end with dessert at 9:00 p.m. If you wish to stay until 10:00, there will be more dancing. Unfortunately, we will not be having an after-party.
