We're Getting Married!

Sometimes, the most unexpected moments lead to the most unforgettable adventures. That’s exactly how our story began. Both of us grew up in Michigan, though on different sides of the state. It wasn’t until we both moved to New York City that fate decided to intervene. In a city of millions, our paths crossed thanks to a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. To be honest, we weren’t sure what to expect. That evening, as the city buzzed around us, we quickly realized we had more in common than just Michigan roots. There was an immediate connection—a shared sense of humor, similar tastes, and, of course, a mutual love for adventure. But just as things were starting to feel right, life threw us a curveball. Sreesha was accepted into graduate school at Yale, which meant leaving the city for New Haven. It was bittersweet—exciting for her new journey, but it meant we’d have to navigate long-distance. Luckily, the MetroNorth became our lifeline. Every weekend, one of us would hop on the train—sometimes with coffee in hand, sometimes with a bouquet of flowers, but always with excitement to see each other again. Those trips became a rhythm, a routine filled with anticipation. We spent countless weekends exploring New Haven and NYC, splitting time between cozy cafés and Central Park strolls. The distance may have been challenging, but it only made us stronger, and every visit felt like a reunion, as if no time had passed. Eventually, after what felt like a hundred train rides and many more memories, we decided it was time to close the distance for good. Today, we look back and smile at how our journey started on a blind date in the city that never sleeps, and how it’s grown into a love that’s taken us across states, train tracks, and even our own expectations. We’re excited for this next chapter, and we’re so grateful you’re here to celebrate with us!
