Yes! To enter Colombia, you must be vaccinated. Our wedding will be a fully vaccinated event. If you have not yet been fully vaccinated by our special day, we will plan to celebrate with you at a different time.
1. You will need a valid, non-expired passport. Now is a good time to ensure your passport is not expiring soon. Your passport cannot be within 6 months of expiring when you leave the US. This means, to be safe, your passport needs to be valid through September 2023. 2. You will need proof of vaccination. You can show your physical card or a digital copy - either works! 3. Check Mig Form - This is a form that Colombian immigration REQUIRES YOU TO FILL OUT WITHIN 72 HOURS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS ON CHROME (THE FORM DOES NOT WORK ON A SAFARI BROWSER). It should take no more than 2 minutes to fill out. It asks questions that include things like: 1. how are you getting to Colombia (air, boat, car, etc) 2. your flight number 3. your passport number and exp date 4. your home country (NOTE: If you are coming from the US, you should click ESTADOS UNIDOS. This is The United States in Spanish. If you look for "The United States" you will not find it !!) 5. The region you are going to - If you are coming straight to Cartagena, it is in the Bolivar region. 6. The address of where you are staying 7. Your email address (triple check this is spelled correctly). After the form is completed, you'll get a confirmation sent to your email. *SAVE THIS EMAIL AND HAVE IT HANDY UPON ARRIVAL AND GOING THROUGH IMMIGRATION.*
Yes- you're thinking of Mexico ;) You can drink the tap water in Cartagena! Along those lines, you can eat lettuce, fruits, vegetables without concern, even from street vendors! Also, you won't find tacos in Cartagena, that's also only in Mexico
Nope! No converters needed.
No hablas español? Don't worry! Sam and Kayla don't speak Spanish either :) Employees at the hotels and tourist sites will be able to help you. There will also be lots of people in Cartagena for the wedding, so more than likely you will be with others who can speak the language! A few good ones to know: Dónde está el baño? (where is the bathroom?) Yo quiero bailar! (I want to dance!) Yo necesito más aguardiente! (I need more aguardiente!)
We recommend Diego Moya Salon. To book your hair appointment with Diego Moya salon, please send a WhatsApp message to the salon at +57 (314) 576-1392. Please reference the Sredni wedding. You can book an appointment at his salon and you should specify you want the location in the old city/historic district. (It’s walking distance from the Santa Teresa, Santa Clara and Nacar hotel!) Diego Moya will also be setting up a salon at the Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa on Saturday 2/18. Appointments at the Santa Teresa are limited. If you aren't staying at the Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa and you don't want to go directly to the salon, you can also arrange for them to come to your room for a hair and/or make up appointment.
