How We Met

Summer 2018

Garden City Chapel. We were both summer staffers and 'forbidden' to date. It's actually kind of funny how we found out we liked each other. The other staffers were getting annoyed because we flirted too much and thats when the truth came out. It was all uphill from there! While we both loved our jobs, we were counting down the days until we could actually be together. Its crazy how soon we both knew we were meant to be. God works in mysterious ways and planned for our paths to cross when they did before the beginning of time. God is Sovereign and we are both incredibly thankful to Him for His plan and how He revealed it to us!

The Proposal

11/24/2018

Clemson vs. South Carolina Game. In front of Death Valley. I sobbed. It was perfect. We were posing for a picture in front of the stadium and then my brother gave a thumbs up while holding the camera... I thought that was odd but continued to smile, then Noah turned to me and I started crying immediately because I knew what was happening. He said the most tender and true things - " I love you so much. I love your family so much. It's crazy how close we've gotten so quickly. It's crazy how God's plan works." - I'm still crying at this point and kind of in a daze from how happy I am that I probably missed some of what he said. (oops sorry honey) But I'll never forget him getting down on one knee and saying "Emily Elizabeth Capps will you marry me?!" Best Day Ever and I still can't believe how blessed I am to be marrying my best friend!
