FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is beachy formal — think elevated and elegant, with a relaxed tropical vibe. Lightweight or linen suits and midi or maxi flowy dresses are great options. Please avoid flip-flops, jeans, shorts and white attire. Also, please note that the ceremony will be on the beach, weather permitting.

Question

Are wedding invitations going to be sent out?

Answer

No. Since all guests have booked their accommodations for our destination wedding, we will not be sending out physical invitations. However, invitations will be sent out for the wedding shower.

Question

Will the wedding events be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on the beach in the sand while the reception will be in an outdoor, covered venue. Events may be moved to an indoor venue in the case of poor weather conditions.

Question

What if someone has dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

If there are any dietary restrictions or allergies, please contact the brides so we can let the resort know for wedding event menu options. For any personal meal reservations during your stay, you may let the staff know so they can properly accommodate.

Question

What currency should I bring? Is tipping customary?

Answer

As we will be in Mexico, you may exchange your cash for Mexican Pesos if desired, however the staff does not mind accepting U.S. Dollars! Though the resort is all-inclusive, tipping is greatly appreciated by all staff members.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking guests to keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony. We hired two photographers and videographers to capture the big day and we’d love for everyone to be fully present with us in the moment. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to take photos at the reception and afterwards — we can’t wait to see them!

Question

Are there any excursions available or group activities planned?

Answer

The resort has several excursions that are included with the cost of your trip including a catamaran, a trip to Maroma Beach, exploring the cenotes and more! These can be booked with the resort staff upon arrival. There are also many excursions that can be purchased at the resort for an additional cost. With many guests arriving and departing on different days, we will plan as many group activities as we can, but we fully want everyone to enjoy their vacation in addition to the wedding events!
