EXPLORE…BY CAR: Blue River Valley Take a longer drive through the Blue River Valley from Silverthorne to Kremmling, via Hwy 9 and ejoy scenic views along the way. EXPLORE…BY FOOT: Ptarmigan Trail To access, take Rainbow Dr. to Tanglewood Ln. This 6.1 mile (one-way) hike to the summit will reward you with panoramic views of the changing season. Take a break and take in the view at the bench located about half way up the trail. Angler Mountain Trail To access, take Hwy 9 north to Bald Eagle Rd. Take this 2.5 mile (one-way) moderate hike for amazing views of Silverthorne, the Gore Range and the Tenmile Range with an optional connection to the Ptarmigan Trail at the top. Acorn Creek This 4 mile (one-way) option, located of Ute Pass, offers hikers solitude and magnificent views of the Gore Range. Blue River Trail Open to bikers and walkers, the paved Blue River Trail runs 3.5 miles through town, offering spectacular views and easy access.
