Back in middle school, we kicked off our epic friendship saga. What started as an enduring friendship evolved into a love story that surpassed time itself. We were off to Pismo Beach, our epic "Happy place". Cruising along a hike to the legendary "Lovers Point," our navigation skills took a detour – oops! But our detour led us to some amazing ocean views. In that scenic moment, he dropped to one knee and unleashed a proposal bombshell (which came as a complete surprise because no where in his shorts did I see a big engagement ring box). My response?
