Sean and Anastasia met online and instantly connected! The couple talked on the phone for hours until Sean decided to drive 2 hours to take Anastasia on a date! He picked her up at her freshman dorm room at UNCC to take her to get coffee and go ice skating. They enjoyed the entire day together, which led to falling in love within 48 hours. We know how crazy it sounds but you know what the Bible says... "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate" Matthew 19:6.

The couple has been through many ups and downs, including 2 years as a long-distance couple. The two created many memories, including many trips to see one another, festivals, karaoke with friends and family, tons of movie dates, and so much more! Their favorite part of the dating experience was being able to glorify God through it all.

July 14th, 2024, was the day Sean would ask Ana's father for her hand in marriage. So many nerves, so many tears. The day he had waited for finally came. Sean had bought the ring back in November of 2023, but he knew he needed to wait for God's timing. Several hours after asking her father, Ana knew something was happening, Sean was acting suspicious. Ana took Sean home, and they watched some Disney Channel before she left to go back to her apartment. Anastasia addressed him, noticing he was acting suspicious, which is when Sean told her he had asked her father to marry her. After taking some time to talk things through, Ana decided it was time for her to go home. Before she left, she wanted to dance with Sean to their favorite Christian song, because it felt right. Little did she know, Sean prayed to God, asking when the right timing would be. God gave him peace in that moment, signaling that now is the perfect time. Intimate, private, and in comfy clothes. Sean gave a speech and went down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. Laughter and tears filled the room as the Holy Spirit overwhelmed them with love and peace.
