Getting to the Venue

The Wedding Website of Hannah Springwater and Scott Turner
Below are some transportation details that will ensure a smooth trip to the venue.
Question

What is the bus schedule?

Answer

The Bus Departs promptly at 2:30: For those who live or are staying in San Francisco or the South Bay, we have your transportation covered from San Francisco to and from the venue if you want it! You can sit back and enjoy the views from San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge to the Headlands and back, worry free. The bus will depart promptly at 2:30 so please arrive on time. Pick-up and drop-off location is in the Presidio, at Tree Fall. The buses will depart for the Headlands promptly at 2:30. When the wedding celebration ends at 10pm, the buses will bring you back to the Presidio to the same pick-up location. From there you are on your own.

Question

Where can I meet the bus?

Answer

Bus Location. A Hop Skip and a Jump from the Presidio Bowl. The exact location to enter into your map (or your Uber) is Tree Fall by Andy Goldsworthy. The buses will be waiting outside the tiny building at the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and Arguello Boulevard along the green known as the Parade Ground in the Presidio. The link to the location can be found here: https://goo.gl/maps/Tcz7V2HEioZCpfUE6 Tree Fall by Andy Goldsworthy

Question

What if I miss the bus?

Answer

If you miss the bus, please take an uber/lyft to the wedding (or drive) – Headlands Center for the Arts, 944 Simmonds Road, Sausalito. You can take an Uber/Lyft there, just not home (the bus will take you back)! Best pick-up spot for you to call an Uber/Lyft in the Presidio would be at the Presidio Bowl or any of the landmark buildings.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

If it rains, please bring an umbrella if you are local or staying at a hotel that supplies them. We will have 12 umbrellas on each bus. At the venue, you will have to walk a minute from the bus to the entrance of the building.

Question

Why can't I take an Uber or Lyft home?

Answer

Although it is okay to take an Uber or Lyft to the Headlands, you will not be able to take one home from the wedding. They will not pick up at this venue. If you want to take one to the venue and take the bus home, we can do that, but we need to know so everyone has a seat!

Question

Important information if you're driving

Answer

If You Are Driving: Five things you need to know if you decide to drive: Five Minute One Way Tunnel. There is a one-way tunnel in and out of the Headlands to the venue. Because it is the only way in and out, there is a five-minute traffic signal on each side of the tunnel. Sometimes traffic can back up. If you miss a light, don’t fret, it will change again in five minutes! But please factor this in if you are driving. Directions. When you get out of the tunnel, Headlands Center for the Arts is approximately [2.7] miles up the road on the left side. You will make a left turn on Field Road. You will see two large white military buildings with red roofs. There is signage to the Headlands Center for the Arts, but you will need to pay attention! If you see a sign for ___ you have gone too far. No Cell service Beyond the Tunnel. Moonlight But That’s It. There is very little lighting on the road out of the Headlands. We are expecting the moon to be almost full on our wedding night, but if the weather is foggy you may not be able to rely on it! People do drive in and out of the Headlands at night (its about 2.7 miles so not very far), but it is very dark, so please be careful or better yet, take the bus! Parking. Yes, parking is available behind the building [or in a parking lot as you drive up Field Road.

For all the days along the way
