After meeting while working together at the same ad agency, John and Shaina quickly built a working relationship, that turned into a real relationship (thanks Beyond Spots & Dots) In February 2016, John decided to buy a car with a manual transmission - which he did not (and still barely) knew how to drive. After work drinks to avoid rush hour traffic turned into longer and longer nights talking about bourbon, cars, a fascination whatever sport was on at Milano’s that evening, and eventually life. Lunch time walks ended up being three mile journeys all around Pittsburgh taking in the sights and looking at apartments thinking that maybe, just maybe one day they would move into one together. Years and jobs came and went, but that did not stop these two bourbon-loving love birds from strengthening their relationship. Soon they took their first vacation together to the very state they will soon be getting married. All those apartments they looked at while working together? Yeah they didn’t move into any of those. But they did move into an apartment together and rescued the best girl in the whole world, Sissy. Then they moved into a house and adopted the okayest boy Weller. As a family, John, Shaina, Sissy, and Weller have driven countless miles and saw countless sights on a New England Road trip and a Southwest Road trip - the latter of which John popped the question on an evening hike outside of Arches National Park (in the middle of a sandstorm, nonetheless). So, if they say that it’s the car that gets the girl, in a roundabout way, John and Shaina’s story is no different.
