FAQs

Question

What is the timeline of events?

Answer

All wedding festivities will be held at Bellevue Hall with a ceremony start time of 4:30 PM followed by cocktail hour at 5:00 PM, and dinner and dancing from 6:00-10:00 PM.

Question

When is hotel check-in?

Answer

The hotel has check-in starting at 4 PM, and we recognize this falls after the shuttle departure times, so if you are arriving on Saturday and require room entry prior to the wedding, we advise calling ahead to the hotel for early check-in or coming dressed and ready to hop on the shuttle.

Question

When is the shuttle running?

Answer

There will be 2 shuttles available that run between the hotel and venue. Before the wedding: Shuttle 1 will depart the hotel at 3:35 PM, and Shuttle 2 will depart at 3:45 PM. This allow guests ample time to get to the venue around 4 PM, grab a refreshing welcome drink, go to the restroom, and locate a seat before the 4:30 PM ceremony. After the Wedding: The night will end at 10:00 PM, so the first bus will depart at 10:15 PM once again allowing time for people to use the rest room and load the bus before riding back to the hotel. The second bus will depart at 10:30 PM.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving at 4:00 PM, approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony time to grab a refreshing welcome beverage and ensure you're seated and ready for the I do's!

Question

Where is the After Party?

Answer

The after party is happening directly next to the hotel at Home Base Bar and Grill (4723 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803). If you plan to attend, we recommend taking the shuttle to the hotel and walking next door to the bar. Feel free to stop in to your rooms to freshen up and change before heading over! From 10:30 PM-? we will have a private area in the upstairs bar where the party will continue.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there are 75 parking spaces including 4 handicapped spots at the venue. Cars are permitted to be left overnight, but please note that while the parking lot is unsupervised, the entrance gate at Bellevue Hall locks at the time of staff departure and will not be reopened until 9AM the next day. Please see the "Travel" page for information related to the shuttle to and from the hotel.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal. Our ceremony is outdoors and the reception is in an outdoor ventilated tent, so please dress for the weather, block heels or wedges are great for grass. We ask that ladies wear mid-calf, ankle, or floor-length dresses and gentlemen wear suits. Summer colors and patterns encouraged! We can’t wait to see you dressed up.
