Our story began at Seton Hall University when a mutual friend introduced us in December of 2016. We shared a few words but nothing came of it except for an occasional hello in the hallway. Everything changed in February of 2017 when a random conversation in a study room lasted hours and nothing was the same. We officially started dating in June of 2017. We went through college together and received our Bachelor's degree in 2020. The following year, Rich received his Masters degree as we began long distance as Spoorthi went to Washington D.C. for law school. Then came two years of long distance, entailing five hour train rides bi-weekly and long facetime calls. Within three weeks of Spoorthi graduating in May 2023, Rich proposed. We went to Newport, Rhode Island and on our 6th anniversary, Rich brought Spoorthi up to a cliff that overlooked the whole island and asked her to marry him. This is something we never could have dreamt of as 18 year old kids who were just sitting and talking in the study room but we could not be more thrilled. We are so happy and excited during this chapter of being engaged and are even more excited to be married. We are so thankful for all the love and support we have received from our family and friends during this time! We cannot wait to celebrate our wedding and this next chapter with all of you, see you on June 16th, 2024!
