Matron of Honor
There are very few people in the world that you can convince to hop in a car, drive 10 hours, sleep in questionable hotels, and wake up hours before the sun rises to run 13+miles in 96 degree heat with 100% humidity. Thankfully for me, I found that person. Alisha and I met at good ole' Princeton Club East in 2015. We bonded over being back-of-the-dance-class klutzes who quickly learned that we share a mutual love of queso, dogs, road trips, and signing up for races that make us question our own sanity. Alisha is one of my dearest friends; she is the person you want to call to share your joy, she is the person who gives you both shoulders to cry on when you need someone to lift you up, and she is the ULTIMATE sign maker you need in your cheering squad, and is by far the most selfless person I have ever met. I am honored to be a part of her wedding day and cannot wait to continue to celebrate Alisha and Mickey's love for the rest of time!

Michael went to college with Mickey where they met in their freshman year. They have been best friends ever since. Bonding over a similar background in Boy Scouts they always seemed to be around each other and almost always up to no good. From man-dates at Olive Garden to ruling out nights for grabbing a beer in college, there was never a dull moment. Make sure to ask Mickey about the time he threw my 6 year old cousin off a picnic table.
Maid of Honor
Seven years ago, I joined a local fitness center and quickly developed a gym crush. But it wasn’t the sweaty guy with six-pack abs who grabbed my attention. It was a quirky, Halloween-loving and extremely nice girl named Alisha. I was in awe of her drive to better herself physically and mentally. She was basically a mini celebrity after winning several Biggest Loser competitions at our gym, and it took me a year to approach her during a group hike at Devil’s Lake State Park. And, as they say, the rest is history. We quickly became shopping buddies, played on the same sports teams and went on way too many coffee runs to Moka. Some people are just meant to be friends, and that is how I feel about Alisha. We’ve spent hours sitting on each other’s couches simply talking. About the big things, the silly things and the dating things. And a lot of those talks over the past year focused on Mickey. I’ve loved watching their love grow over the past months. Alisha is a true gem, and I’m so happy she’s found her partner! Can’t wait to dance the night away with you all in October!

Mickey and I started out in scouts together far too long ago. We stayed close through high school despite attending different schools. Much to John's chagrin, I was given the passcode to get into the Huttenhoff garage. Once that happened, it wasn't uncommon for them to come home and find I had already let myself in. Life has moved us apart and back together a few times but we've always been able to dive right back in whenever we reunite. We have been everything from best friends, to brothers, to roommates, to drinking buddies, and everything in between. We are like two peas in a pod, two boogers in a nose. We're like this, and that's hard for a horse to do.

We met many many….many many moons ago in a little place called Middle School. We found ourselves sitting together in band sharing music and slowly built a friendship from there. From flyball to camping to watching scary movies together in her basement we were inseparable. Life pulled us apart but we found our way back. 🖤🖤🖤

We met my freshman year of college, and it was love at first sight. We would spend countless days together. Bonding over our love of games and food. We became inseparable, and would even end up living together. I would treat him to BWW for Honey BBQ and Ranch and he would treat me to Benvenuto's for Tomato Basil. It was perfect. But as all things, it could never last. One summer while we were apart, I saw him sharing his Benvenuto's with another man. Although I was heartbroken, I could see how happy they were together, just like we used to be. We decided to remain friends up to this day and for the days to come.

It's been a blessing to meet Alisha and become great friends over just the past few years! We met through a mutual friend and a partially random happenstance. I’d like to give a special thanks to Schwoegler’s volleyball leagues and Steph for helping bring this friendship together! Before even knowing me that well, Alisha went out of her way to loan me some crutches when I was hurt. She has such a big heart and is always willing to go the extra mile to care for the people in her life. I got to know Alisha better over the years through our shared interest in sports. We already both enjoyed playing volleyball, but then Alisha started playing ultimate frisbee as well, and we had even more opportunities to spend time together. Alisha is a great friend and I am honored to be here for her as she embarks on this next part of her life journey!

Mickey and I met long enough ago that we’re relatively certain neither one of us can remember the actual event. We grew up in Scouts together where we learned the important things - How to start a fire with matches, how to start a fire with flint and steel, how to start a fire with a car battery, how to start a fire with a blow torch, and several ways of how not to start a fire by rubbing sticks together. We also learned a lot about friendship, teamwork, patience, and persistence. Scouting activities and our brothers kept us in touch during high school and college. When Mickey moved back to Madison, we got a chance to play on the same frisbee team, attend parties together, play DnD together, and generally hang out more. It’s been a pleasure growing together with lots of good memories and fun stories. My kids love both him and Alisha. I’m honored to be part of this important day with them.

Alisha and I met working for an insurance company in Middleton. We sat near each other while working on the Life Product Team issuing new insurance policies and answering calls. I found Alisha to be such a breath of fresh air in the office and we hit it off laughing about life events and helping each other through tough calls. A frequent favorite pastime of ours was going to get lunch at a Which Wich shop a few miles down the road. Which Wich b*tches for life! 😄

There I was… Just minding my own business, proudly annoying my sister. When all of a sudden Mickey was thrust into my life. We were brothers and anything but friends. Through years of fighting, bleeding, screaming, crying, yelling and arguing, we started to forge the base of friendship. It was kind of a one-sided friendship for a while. Whether picking on Mickey or protecting him, I've always had his back. Through years of challenges, we've moved forward and continued to forge a friendship. It actually became a true friendship when we were no longer living together and were able to explore our differences. Now we talk. We hang out. We run ideas past each other, and we generally enjoy each other’s company. I am glad to be your friend and older brother.

Alisha and I met through bowling in the Tipsy Tuesday league before she was even able to drink. It was an instant connection and we bonded like sisters. We have bowled together, played darts together, worked out together (she is better at sticking to that than me), had some fun parties together, and even lived together. We have been there for each other through a lot of good and bad times. I am so honored that she chose me to be part of her big day and can not wait to keep making memories with her, and maybe occasionally we will include the husbands!

I first met Mickey as Boy Scout being sent to Summer Camp with my Troop. As a camper I didn't interact with him too much, but then I became a staffer. We were both on aquatics, and while he was my Boss at the time, we got along great. We liked the same Music, we played similiar games, and it was just so easy to get to get along with him. We would sing along to Kesha, talk about Diablo and League of Legends, and he really helped me break out of my shell. When I moved to Platteville, he helped me get a job at Benvenuto's after the summer. We would chat after work at the bar, and split a Sampler Platter. He even helped me meet my current roommate, Foster! Concerts, Bars, and terrible decisions to game instead of sleep, we were inseparable from that summer on. We worked together on and off for years, even lived together for a bit. But, I knew I had to share him eventually... it was hard, but seeing how happy he was with someone new made it easier. Soon, we stopped living together, but we decided to continue to be friends, till today, and for the future to come.

I have known Alisha for quite a few years now. We met at bowling and have since made a lot of memories. She was the first one I told I was pregnant with my son. She, Jenny, and I have had some fun girl trips going to haunted houses and going to the Safe House in Milwaukee was so much fun. Alisha always brings the humor to a situation, and I am so happy to have her as a friend and cannot wait to celebrate her wedding day!

I first met Mickey in 2007 when we were on camp staff together, learning valuable lessions like: how to sort rocks, which shower spot had the best acoustics, good enough is not good enough, and the danger of being payed a salary instead of hourly. Then in 2009 we both chose to go to UW-Platteville for college where we join the same fraternity. We kept handing out and scheming until we were able to take over Aquatics at EBSR with Mickey running the swim beach and me running the boat beach. We also were able to find immense joy in torturing the Program Director with wacky lunch announcements and be leading his least favorite song as often as possible. I'm honored to be standing with him to help celebrate this wonderful occasion and promise I won't tell any embarrassing stories at his wedding.

I meet Alisha when I was born from our Mom in 1993. I thought it was crazy meeting her when she was 3 like how are you here before me. Then I started getting used to it & thought she was ok but then switched when she wanted to be a witch for some sort of a weird event. She kept talking in a weird voice and making something in this big black pot like going to cook something & she was talking in a weird language. I was like what was I born into here. She made a weird juice & she made me drink it. We were then stuck together forever she said. She said we were this thing called sisters like ok so I guess we can be sisters. So we had been stuck together for 31 years ugh & it has been a long 31 years to say the less. Hahaha just kidding to has been a fun 31 years.

Being a groomsman at my buddy's wedding is a privilege, but it's also a guarantee that I'll be providing some top-notch entertainment. See, my friendship with the groom is like a never-ending comedy show, and our shared love for video games is the punchline. We've been through it all, from League of Legends showdowns to Dark Souls dungeon crawls. It all started back in our college days when we were both part of the same fraternity. Little did we know that our shared affinity for videogames and late-night shenanigans would eventually lead to a bromance for the ages. League of Legends quickly became our battleground for competition and camaraderie. We'd strategize like generals, curse like sailors, and celebrate like champions after each victory. The funniest part was in-game, he was our unbreakable tank and I was the master of midlane, let's just say that our teamwork was... well, a work in progress. The only thing that could rival our love for League was our shared addiction to Dark Souls, where dying over and over again brought us closer than ever. Now, here I am, celebrating his wedding day as a groomsman. Who would have thought our virtual escapades would lead to real-life adventures like this? So here's to the groom, my gaming buddy, and partner in crime, who's now leveling up in the real world of marriage. May our friendship continue to be as epic and hilariously unpredictable as our gaming sessions!
