Now legally best friends forever

I had just graduated from TBI that morning and was wandering around town waiting for another school event that evening when Emily Garcia had the genius idea to meet up with a friend of hers at the dog park to pass the time. I met Harley the dog first and I was absolutely smitten with the goodest boy in town, but his owner Adam was also pretty cute. - Molly

I had just skipped class, and was hanging out in the parking lot waiting to meet my buddy so we could go get lunch when I saw Molly walking out to her truck, the girl I'd met earlier at the dog park through a mutual friend. I sat on her tailgate with my graffiti-covered clipboard and the single piece of paper I'd brought to school that day in anticipation of skipping and talked to her about a mutual friend's birthday. Molly had been asking about visiting the Texas Tulip farm north of Dallas for the entire time we'd known each other, and through a series of mishaps and misremembered dates we'd managed to miss it entirely for almost 5 years. My grand plan was to propose to her in the tulip fields, but she guessed the gist of my plan the night before, so I waited until we were in her parent's garage at midnight and proposed a few hours early. We still made it to the tulip fields for photos the next day, but I'd managed to circumvent her innate curiosity and well developed cultural sense by springing the question 12 hours earlier than any reasonable person would have. - Adam
