We met in middle school and started dating at just 13 years old (Yes, we were those kids—the football player and the cheerleader.) What started as young love quickly grew into something strong and lasting. We were high school sweethearts and even as teenagers, we somehow knew we had found something rare. Our relationship has grown with us through every season of life. From high school dances and teenage curfews to adult responsibilities and career changes, we’ve supported each other through it all. Growing up together hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been the most rewarding journey. All the various challenges we have faced have only made our connection stronger. We’ve faced long-distance, busy schedules, and different life paths, but we’ve never stopped showing up for each other. We’ve built a beautiful life together, complete with our dog, camping trips, home-cooked meals, concerts, and time spent with our favorite people. We’ve made many memories with our families and gone on so many adventures over the years. After eight amazing years together (and a *few* gentle hints), Nick proposed at the Franklin Park Conservatory. We were surrounded by beautiful flowers and pictures of our memories over the years, making it one of the best days of our lives. We feel so lucky to have found each other so young. Not everyone gets to grow up with their best friend, but we did—and we wouldn’t change a thing. We can’t wait to keep writing our story together, side by side.
