We're getting married!

We met when we were just 19 and 20! We both went to a mutual friend's house for a night of fun and ended up connecting! We did not talk much throughout the night, other than the typical hello's and if you know anything about Matt, everyone seems to know of him, so of course, I had to say "I think we have met before!" We ended up staying up most of the night and talking about our lives and our dreams, and we just never stopped talking from there! To say it was love at first sight is truly an understatement. The more I talked to Matt, the more I knew that he was the person I wanted to spend my life with!

We originally had a trip booked to go see the Mall of America, but COVID-19 decided to make an appearance and we were forced to cancel. I called to cancel the hotel reservation and ended up getting offered a beach vacation for 75% off to Myrtle Beach! So of course, we had to book it! When we arrived at Myrtle Beach, we checked into our hotel room and got changed to go down to the pool. As we were sitting in the pool, I told Matt to tell me he was not going to propose on our trip, because it was all I could think about! He said no and that it would happen soon enough (my favorite answer!) Later in the day we went out for dinner, and came back to the hotel room. I was looking out at the beach from our balcony and said we should go for a walk! As we were walking along the beach, Matt kept taking me farther and farther away from the hotel, so I said we should turn around and he just kept walking! He finally spun me towards him and grabbed my hands and started saying "I have been waiting a long time to do this..." and I immediately started crying! He got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him and of course I shouted YES! It is a night I definitely will never forget!
