Things To Do

If you get here early or stay on Sunday, there are lots of fun things to do around Indianapolis! Here are a few you may enjoy:
Fort Harrison State Park

Fort Harrison State Park

6000 North Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216

Hikers and nature lovers, this park is right next to our reception venue. We recommend Fall Creek Trail and Camp Creek Trail! There are also nice playground areas for kids, and flushing bathrooms are usually (but not always) open. Bring a bag to carry out your trash.

The Fort Golf Resort

The Fort Golf Resort

6002 North Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216

Golfers, this 18-hole championship golf course was created by Pete Dye (for those who know) and is right next to our reception site. Their site says that the course is both beautiful and challenging.

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail

132 West Walnut Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204

Explore downtown Indy, ride bikes, walk or run along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. Bike rental available through the Pacer's Bike Share.

Monument Circle

Monument Circle

Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN 46204

"The Circle" is home of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and the reason why Indianapolis is also known as The Circle City. Get a great view of the State Capitol Building, and visit numerous shops and restaurants.

Baseball at Victory Field

501 West Maryland Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225

Baseball fans: The Indianapolis Indians play Nashville Sound at Victory Field the week leading up to the wedding. Games start on Wed and Thurs at 6:35pm, and on Friday at 7pm. Make sure to check ahead to see if there are still tickets available. FUN FACT: Mundell & Assoc. helped work on the water drainage systems when they were building Victory Field way back when.

Indianapolis Zoo and Aquarium

1200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222

A favorite of the Mundell siblings when we were younger, the zoo is one of the largest privately owned zoos in the U.S., well-known for its conservation efforts, and is triple accredited as zoo, aquarium and botanical garden.

Climb at North Mass Boulder

1411 Roosevelt Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46201

Climbers or aspiring climbers can give bouldering a try at North Mass Boulder! Adults and kids alike are welcome, and there's a nice cafe' upstairs. Both Sarah and Cody have both dabbled in bouldering/climbing the last few years and some of our first dates were at NMB!

Bike the Monon Trail

Bike the Monon Trail

Indianapolis, IN 46280

Bike the former railroad turned biking/walking trail to explore another side of Indy! Follow link for a map.

Good food and shops on Massachusetts Avenue

Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, IN

A cute 1-mile stretch of a downtown Indy street with art, coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques!

Nature and art at Newfields / Indianapolis Museum of Art

4000 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46208

Art lovers and nature lovers check out the Indianapolis Museum of Art and Virginia Fairbanks Nature Preserve. You can visit the indoor art museum or take an outdoor walk around a beautiful lake amid large art installations, statues and a native flower meadow.

Canal Walk, Kayak, and Swan Boat Rentals

Canal Walk, Indianapolis, IN

Walk along the canal, or rent a kayak or Swan Boat (https://wheelfunrentals.com/in/indianapolis/canal-walk/) to enjoy a downtown water feature whose water has been restored and maintained by Mundell & Associates.

Pinball, movies and food at the Bottleworks District

850 Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202

Eat great food and play pinball at The Garage, or see a movie at Living Room Theater. This fun place to hang out is a Coca-Cola Bottleworks Factory that was transformed for community use.
