Our Story

Our story began in May 2020 at our first job post grad and the peak of the pandemic. Tiffany: A week before starting my new job, I stumbled upon a Facebook post with a photo of last year’s interns. One guy immediately caught my eye—tall, handsome, and someone I secretly hoped I’d meet. Little did I know he had also accepted a job offer, would start on the same day as me, and even work on the same team. On my first day, an onboarding coordinator asked if I’d like to meet Nathan Spencer. I agreed, and soon after, I received an email from him. To my surprise, his profile picture revealed he was the same cute guy I noticed earlier! We became “pen pals,” exchanging emails that I eagerly looked forward to every day. Two weeks later, we met in person. I was so nervous that I rushed off to the restroom after our first conversation. Once my nerves settled, we hit it off. A coworker later invited us to a Bible study at his church. Nate often gave me a ride, and soon we were leading worship together, bonding over our shared love of music. I found out later that we both secretly waited in the parking lot for the other to arrive so we could walk in together. After the internship ended, the rest was history. Nate’s love for God, sense of humor, integrity, and boyish charm won me over. Looking back, it’s clear that God brought us together, weaving two different stories into one. Nate has brought so much color into my life, helping me step out of my comfort zone in ways I never imagined—learning to ride a bike, conquering hikes, and not taking life too seriously. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you and are incredibly grateful for your love and support! Nathan: In May 2020, I was a fresh college graduate buried in student debt, living in a tiny basement apartment with no natural light, and driving a 2001 Saturn held together by sheer willpower. Meals were sourced exclusively from Dollar Tree. I was living the hardcore bachelor life, all with the goal of getting loose of my financial ball-and-chain. Despite the circumstances, I was about to start my first post-grad job at a company where I’d interned the summer before. Before my official start date, my recruiter suggested I reach out to another new hire, Tiffany. I sent her a quick email, not realizing it would change my life. Our “hello” turned into long emails filled with jokes, shared interests, and conversations about life and faith. Even before meeting her in person, I could tell she was special. When we finally met, her friendly, bubbly attitude, humor, and professionalism drew me in even more. Despite my less-than-glamorous lifestyle, she saw me for who I truly was and always supported me. Over the next three years, she stuck with me through my knuckle-dragging bachelor days as I worked to pay off my student loans and build a future. After four years of dating, I’ve exchanged one ball and chain for another—but this one is the best thing to ever happen to me. Tiffany has been my biggest cheerleader and my best friend. We are so excited to celebrate this day with all of you!
