Lindsey and Spencer's love story began with the dating app, Hinge. Spencer matched with Lindsey thinking he could win her over with witty banter about Whataburger being better than Inn N Out. It took Lindsey two weeks to reply! While studying for her OCS, Lindsey swore off dating to focus on her exam. Meanwhile, her coworkers were hard at work making matches on Hinge on her behalf. It wasn't until after the Texas snowstorm that she saw his messages on Hinge. Their first date was on March 6th, 2021 at Hank's Austin, where Lindsey was 10 minutes late and Spencer was 10 minutes early! Not off to a great start but quickly hit it off spending as much time as possible planning the next date before the current date ended. Once Spencer's project finished up in Austin, he made the decision to take a work opportunity up in Utah where Lindsey would join him a year later. Quickly, they fell in love with the mountain lifestyle going hiking, fishing, or skiing almost every weekend. January of 2024, they bought their first home in Layton, Utah. Spencer finally proposed at midnight on January 1st, 2025.
